Ingredients
- 3lbs. cubed pork shoulder or butt
- Small amount of vegetable oil for browning meat
- 1 large onion coarse chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic minced
- ½ tablespoon cumin
- 1 quart chicken broth
- 4 poblano chile peppers seeded and chopped
- 1 or 2 jalapeno peppers (depending how hot you like it) seeded and chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper seeded and chopped
- 4 cups Herdez salsa verde
- ½ bunch of cilantro chopped fine
Instructions
- Brown meat in oil w/ pepper and garlic powder
- Move to stock pot
- Add onions and garlic to browning pan and cook until tender
- Now add all ingredients to stock pot and simmer for 3 to 4 hours
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Serve with warm flour tortillas
