Ingredients
  1. 2 packets rapid rise yeast
  2. 2 cups warm water
  3. 2 tbsp. sugar
  4. 6 cups flour
  5. 2 tsp salt
  6. 2 tbsp. olive oil
  7. 1 egg
  8. 2 tbsp. cold water
Instructions
  1. Dissolve yeast in 2 cups warm water. Add sugar. Mix well.
  2. In a mixer, add flour, salt, and olive oil. Add yeast mixture and mix for 5 minutes.
  3. Place dough in lightly oiled, large bowl and cover with a warm, wet, towel. Let dough rise for 1 hour.
  4. Place dough on lightly floured surface and punch down. Form into desired size loafs.
  5. Place on parchment covered sheet tray. Cover dough with warm, wet towel and let rise a second time for 1 hour.
  6. Slit top of loafs 1/2" deep complete length of bread.
  7. Mix beaten egg with water and brush loafs completely.
  8. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  9. Place in oven and bake for 20-25 mins and golden brown
  10. Remove from oven and place on cooling rack and let cool for 25 mins before cutting
