Vanilla Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 10 oz. pkg. vanilla chip morsels, divided
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda & powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg and extract. Gradually beat in the flour mixture (batter will be stiff).
- Stir in 1 cup of chips.
- Roll 1 tsp of dough into balls, placing them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- Press a couple of chips on top.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden on the edges.
- Remove sheet from oven and allow to stand about 2 minutes before removing the cookies onto wire racks.
- Makes about 4 ½ dozen.
