Growing up in Pennsylvania, I never knew what guacamole was until I moved to southern California when I was 19. I’ve tried many variations but this is the one I like the best. Having a neighbor with an avocado tree doesn’t hurt either.

Ingredients
3 large ripe avocados
1/4cupchopped onion
1/4cupchopped tomato
1T.lime juice
1tsalt (add more or less depending on your taste)
1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
1Tchopped cilantro
Directions
Purchase avocados at the store or borrow from your neighbor’s tree.
Slice avocados in half, remove pits, using a large spoon, scrape avocado out of skin.
Put avocado halves in mixing bowl. Mash until minimal small chunks are seen.
