  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Cinnamon Filling
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

  • For the Icing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a loaf pan and set it aside.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar and ground cinnamon until combined.
  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Pour half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.
  • Add the remaining batter, spreading it gently to cover.
  • Pour the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.
  • Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon filling into the batter to create a marbled effect.
  • Bake the bread for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • While the bread cools, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and pourable. Adjust the consistency with a little more milk if needed.
  • Once the bread has cooled slightly, drizzle the icing generously over the top. Slice and enjoy!
