Aunt Kate's Coffee Cake

Topping
- 3 T flour
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 T butter (cold)
Batter
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 2 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Crisco
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
Topping
- Blend together dry ingredients.
- Cut in butter (should resemble small peas)
- Set aside.
Batter
- Blend together dry ingredients.
- Cut in shortening.
- Beat egg and combine with milk. Add to flour mixture.
- Pour into greased 9 x 12 glass baking dish.
- Sprinkle topping on evenly.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
