Banana Muffins

Ingredients
½ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups mashed ripe bananas
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Cream shortening & sugar.
- Add eggs, then bananas.
- Sift together dry ingredients in separate bowl.
- Stir dry ingredients into banana mixture just until moistened.
- Stir in chips or nuts.
- Scoop into muffin cups & bake for 20 minutes.
