NY Maple Apple Pie

NY Maple Apple Pie

Ingredients
  1. 1 - 9 inch double pie crust
  2. 6 cups baking apples, peeled & sliced (about 2 lbs.)
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1 tsp cinnamon or apple pie spice
  5. 3 tbs cornstarch
  6. 1/2 tsp salt
  7. 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
  8. 1/2 cup whipping cream
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Place bottom crust into pie plate.
  3. In large bowl combine apples, sugar, spices, and cornstarch.
  4. In another bowl combine the syrup & cream.
  5. Pour over apple mixture and then carefully into pie shell.
  6. Place remaining crust on top, seal & flute.
  7. Brush with milk and sprinkle sugar on top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes until crust is golden brown.
