Meringue for Pie

9-inch Pie
  1. 3 egg whites
  2. 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  3. 6 tbl sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp vanilla
Instructions
  1. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until foamy.
  2. Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; continue beating until stiff and glossy. Do not underbeat.
  3. Beat in vanilla

  • what can be substituted for tar tar….i have heard that seasalt is an alternitve…if so…how much? reply to123sonjia@gmail.com…i will be makingitwith 3 egg whites so please tell me how much seasalt to use if it is actually neccesary. ive made many + used niethertartar or seasalt…should i just make it as i always do? wirhiyt either?
