Fried Fantail Shrimp

Ingredients
  1. 12 large shrimp uncooked
  2. Vegetable oil
  3. 1/2 cup flour
  4. 1 egg
  5. 1/2 cup milk
  6. 1 cup bread crumbs
  7. 1/2 cup ketchup
  8. 2 tbs. horseradish (more if you like it HOT!!)
  9. 1 lemon
Instructions
  1. Heat oil (2-3 inches) in deep fat fryer or large kettle to 375°.
  2. Remove outside shell from shrimp by first pulling off its little legs.
  3. Slice down the back of the shrimp and spread apart (Be careful not to cut all the way through.) Dust each shrimp with flour then dip in mixture of beaten egg and milk.
  4. Dredge through bread crumbs. Fry until golden brown.
Cocktail Sauce
  1. Combine ketchup and horseradish dummy.
